Time to ZOOM in!

Lala, ich war im Zoo. :)
Ich liebe es, mir exotische Tiere anzugucken, und finde, dass die Zoom Erlebniswelt in Gelsenkirchen besonders schön ist, seit sie renoviert wurde. Bei meinem letzten Zoobesuch dort, war jedoch der Bereich Asien noch in Arbeit, und deshalb nicht für Besucher zugänglich. Zeit um das nachzuholen!
Für die Leute, die den Zoom nicht kennen (ändert das!): Es handelt sich um einen Zoo, der in drei Bereiche unterteilt ist: Asien, Afrika und Alaska. In jedem Teil kann man dann Tiere angucken, die zu dem Klima und der typischen Atmosphäre dieses "Landes" passen. Außerdem ist jeder Bereich der Geschichte der Orte angepasst und entsprechend anspruchsvoll gestaltet.
Ich persönlich war von Asien etwas enttäuscht, und bin immer noch größter Fan von Afrika. Auch wenn ich als absoluter Elefantenfan etwas gefrustet war, als ich feststellen musste, dass dieser Zoo tatsächlich keine Elefanten hat. Ich meine -hallo?!- ein Zoo ohne Elefanten?!
Lasst euch jetzt einfach mal von meiner Fotowelle berauschen und ich hoffe, eventuelle Fragen klären sich dann.

Yay, I was in the zoo.
I love exotic animals and my favourite zoo is the "Zoom Erlebniswelt" in Gelsenkirchen in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Especially since they renovated it. On my last visit they hadn't finished the part the Asian animals are in and I thought it would be nice to see them now.
For all you out there who've never been in the Zoom, I will describe it now. It is a zoo, which is devided into three parts: Africa, Alaska and Asia. These parts are decorated like they are ripped out of the actual country's landscape and the animals you can see there are actually animals that live in Alaska, Asia or Africa. It is amazing.
Personally, I did not like Asia as much as Africa. As you know I am a huge fan of elephants and, guess what, they don't have any. C'mon! A zoo without elephants?!
Whatever. I just wanted to show you a few of the photos I took. Maybe they will give you answers to some of your questions, too.

So, das war's jetzt. 

Man merkt, dass in Alaska der Platz auf meiner Speicherkarte knapp wurde (ich Idiot nehme natürlich eine 2GB-Speicherkarte mit, mit der man so gut wie nichts anfangen kann!), weil ich die coolen Kulissen von Alaska gar nicht mehr fotografiert habe. Es waren auch nicht alle Tiere, das hätte euch sonst wahrscheinlich total irre gemacht. Ich habe mir allerdings manches Mal gewünscht, ein Nahaufnahmenobjektiv zu haben. Weihnachtswunsch, ich komme! 

Okay, that's it. Maybe you have noticed that the space on my memory card was getting a bit small in Alaska (since I only took 2GB with me - stupid me!). That's why I couldn't take pictures of the scenery. And keep in mind that these are only a few animals. 

Was denkt ihr über Zoos? Kinderbeschäftigung, oder immer spannend? Im Sommer, Frühling, Herbst oder Winter? Was sind eure Lieblingstiere?

At last, I would like to know your opinion. Do you like zoos? Do you think they are mostly for children, or do you still like to go there? And when would you prefer visiting one: in spring, summer, autumn or winter? What are your favourite animals?
